Reviews and Marketing Insights

Reviews and Marketing Insights is an application developed and operated by Pascucci USA, an online coffee retailer in the United States. The application connects to the Google account of the Pascucci USA advertising team and reads advertising, analytics and search performance data from that account, so that the team can measure the performance of their advertising in one place.

Purpose of the application

The purpose of Reviews and Marketing Insights is to report on advertising performance. Pascucci USA advertises on Google. The application reads the performance data from the Pascucci USA Google Ads, Google Analytics and Google Search Console accounts, combines it with the company's sales records, and produces reports that show which advertising campaigns and which keywords produce sales, and what each new customer costs to acquire. Without this application that information sits in separate systems and cannot be compared.

Application functionality and features

The application provides the following features to the Pascucci USA advertising team.

• Advertising performance reports. Daily cost, clicks, impressions and conversions for every Google Ads campaign, ad group and keyword on the connected account.
• Keyword performance reports. A view of which search keywords generate sales and which generate cost without sales, so that the advertising team can adjust their keywords.
• Cost per customer reports. Advertising cost compared against real sales records, to calculate what acquiring a new customer actually costs.
• Attribution comparison. A single report showing which advertising platform claims credit for each sale, so that duplicate reporting between platforms can be identified.
• Website performance reports. Which pages visitors land on after clicking an advert, how those pages perform in Google Search, and which pages return errors.

Why the application requests access to your Google data

When a member of the Pascucci USA advertising team connects this application, the application requests read only access to the Google data in that account. It requests this access because the reports described above are built entirely from that data and cannot be produced without it. The application requests the following.

• Google Ads data. The application requests access to Google Ads reporting data in order to read campaign, ad group and keyword performance, including cost, clicks, impressions and conversions. This data is used to produce the advertising performance, keyword performance and cost per customer reports listed above.
• Google Analytics data. The application requests access to Google Analytics reporting data in order to read how visitors behave on the Pascucci USA website after clicking an advert. This data is used to produce the website performance reports listed above.
• Google Search Console data. The application requests access to Search Console data in order to read how Pascucci USA pages perform in Google Search. This data is used to separate paid visits from unpaid visits in the reports listed above.

The application only requests read access. It does not create, edit, pause or delete anything in any Google account, and it never writes data back to any Google service. It requests access only to accounts owned by Pascucci USA. It does not request access to the Google account of any customer, visitor or other business.

How the data is used and stored

Data read from Google is used only to produce the reports described on this page. It is stored on a private server operated by Pascucci USA and is accessible only to the Pascucci USA advertising team. It is not sold, it is not transferred to any other company, and it is not used for advertising to any individual or for building profiles. Personal information is encrypted at rest and deleted on a retention schedule. Google user data is used only for the purposes described here, in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
