Ristretto: the 5-minute recipe

Half the water, twice the attitude, with all the dark Italian drama your cup can comfortably hold.

Ristretto is espresso distilled to its most charming opinion. Less water, more velvet, and a finish that lingers like good gossip. Make it when your coffee should speak first.

The story

Ristretto was born in the rhythm of the Italian bar, where coffee is brief, beautiful, and taken seriously without making a speech. It is espresso pulled short, half the water, twice the attitude, with a texture that feels polished and a flavor that lands with velvet confidence. People love it because it respects the moment. A Ristretto does not linger at the table trying to be charming. It arrives, says something brilliant, and leaves you better company than it found you.

What you need

  • 1 Pascucci capsule

Tools: Pascucci machine · small cup

How to make it

  1. Start a short shot and stop it early, at about half the usual volume.
  2. You want thick, syrupy texture and intense aroma.
  3. Sip slowly. This is not a race.

Get it right

  • Warm your cup so the Ristretto stays silky from opening sip through its aromatic finish.
  • Use MORORA when you want darker edges, richer crema, and a finish with a little Italian swagger.
  • Stop the pour before it turns thin, preserving the compact body and concentrated sweetness that define Ristretto.

Make it with MORORA

This recipe sings with MORORA, brewed on the Pascucci Seaver machine. One capsule, one button, no barista required.

When to drink it

Best enjoyed after lunch, before a decisive email, or whenever the room could use a little sharper tailoring. Serve it in a warm cup, close to the machine, with dark chocolate or a quiet biscuit. Good with a friend who understands that brief can still be luxurious.
